CGIN's referenced in the new book: Actions Speak Loudest!

CGIN’s in the new book: Actions Speak Loudest as an action for ensuring all American children lead healthy lives through a healthy relationship with food! Bob McKinnon’s ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDEST, a collections of photos, essays and calls to action in today’s world discusses 32 issues critical to the well-being of the next generation.

In the Food and Family section, written by Rachel Ray, one of the actions communities can take is to advocate for a food co-op or organic market. By creating a food co-op, communities can make healthier food choices a reality for their neighborhood and can be directly involved in decisions affecting their food. CGIN’s How to Start a Food Co-op is listed as one of the three actions communities should do to ensure they have access to healthy food.
