CGIN Contribution Guidelines

General guidelines:

  • Approval process: The CGIN office will review all submittals to ensure consistently in designation and naming. CGIN staff will make changes to titles and classification as needed for ease of member use. CGIN staff will make an effort to approve all items submitted within two working days.

  • Documents: Items can be made up of multiple files. For example, if you are submitting your co-op’s management team job descriptions, we prefer to post them as one item instead of as separate, individual items. There is no problem with posting more than one file of different formats as part of one file – e.g. a word file, an excel file, and a PDF can all be submitted for one item.

  • Item title: Be sure to suggest a name for your item that is general and descriptive to help make it easier for others in their research of items. No need to include your co-op’s name or revision dates in your item name. Where possible, please use a name that is similar to other related items already on the site to make it easier for users to find all similar materials.

  • Existing items: If you are subjmitting a file that is either additional or substitute for an item already in the resource library, please send it directly to the CGIN office

  • Classification: Where needed, you can assign an item to more than one topic area. Where “sub-topics” are available for a topic area, please select the sub-topic most appropriate or “none.” Items should fall into the topics and sub-topics listed below:
